THE WORK
What a BCBA role can involve
BCBAs combine clinical direction, supervision, data review, and collaboration. The exact responsibilities, setting, and schedule depend on the current position.
Guide individualized services. Help shape service plans, review progress information, and adjust clinical direction based on each client’s needs.
Support the direct-care team. Provide supervision and practical guidance to the professionals carrying out services with children and caregivers.
Collaborate across the care team. Communicate with caregivers and others involved in the child’s support so priorities and next steps stay clear.
