What Progress Looks Like

Happy, engaged children making real gains.

We track data carefully, while keeping daily life in view. Meaningful progress can be clearer communication, joining a sibling’s game, or moving through a routine with greater confidence.

Child dignity comes first

We teach useful replacement skills and use proactive strategies that set a child up for success.

Families shape the plan

Family priorities guide goal selection. Plans are reviewed every six months and adjusted sooner when needs change.

Skills belong in daily life

We work with families at home, in the community, and within the routines where each skill matters.

Founder / Director of Clinical Operations

Cara Holtz, founder of Beyond Behavior, has spent more than 20 years turning her passion for behavior analysis into meaningful outcomes for children and families. She holds a master's degree in Behavior Analysis from St. Cloud State University and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where she first discovered her love for the field. Specializing in early intervention, Cara combines evidence-based practices with compassion, collaboration, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping children learn, grow, and succeed.

Outside of work, Cara enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and two dogs, making the most of every season outdoors. Whether she's hiking a favorite trail, boating on the water, going for a run, or simply enjoying nature with her family, she values the balance, adventure, and connection that come from an active outdoor lifestyle.
